Vegetarian Fourth of July Menu Ideas
The 4th of July always seems to be defined by what meat someone can throw on a grill + feed the crowd. Whether you are a vegetarian going to a cookout or hosting a party for Independence Day, you might find yourself in a pickle not knowing what to eat or cook! I am here to tell you, there are so many more options than just wings, ribs, and burgers! Have yourself a meatless Independence Day celebration or simply put a few more plants on your party menu this year.

First things first, a good BBQ sauce

Who doesn’t love a good salad at a cookout. I am here for it. All the cookout salads, all day, any day. Cookout salads are just a special kind of delicious. Not ‘pack my lunch box’ salad, but ‘let’s party’ salad. I know you know. If you don’t, try one of these:

Me please! So many options! My personal favorite store-bought burgers are Beyond Meat Grillers and Dr. Praeger’s California Burger. Try a few + pick your favorite.

If you are reading this + are not vegetarian. I am here for you. Some burger advice when cooking a plant-based burger for your vegetarian friends. First, please keep our burgers separate from the meat items. This can be done by either grilling them first or using aluminum foil or a baking sheet on the grill. Second, dress our burger just like you would yours. Β We don’t want a grain bun or a chunk of lettuce as a bun. Β We don’t eat meat but we do eat flavor + it is a party! Buns, vegan or dairy cheese, condiments, pickles, if it’s on your burger please put it on mine.
