It is no secret around this blog that I LOVE SALAD! Give this girl a big bowl of greens + an assortment of veggies tossed together with a few other things that make salads awesome and I am super happy! Salad Mondays are a real event here in the MVF house. I must warn you, salads can be a total fat + calorie trap derailing all of your healthy eating habits one forkful at a time! Tara’s Tips for Chili Lime Perfect Tahini Dressing:
- Make sure your tahini only has one ingredient: sesame seeds! You don’t need anything else in there!!!!
- Add extra water at the end until you reach desired consistency. Every jar of tahini is slightly different and it will also depend on the temperature of your bottle when you mix the ingredients. Add the water 1 tbsp at a time. Can take an extra 1/2 cup to get it right.
- Want an extra kick of spice? Add more chili powder. I would caution you to add slowly, a little chili powder goes a long way. Taste test and add more but you can’t take away!
- Keep leftovers in your refrigerator for up to 7 days (if you have any 💚).
What To Eat With Your New Dressing
My absolute favorite thing to eat with this dressing are Air Fryer Tempeh Croutons. Coming in close second are Crispy No Oil Air Fryer Tofu. I crisp them up and use this dressing as a dip with some broccoli florets and carrot slices. YUM! Another idea is to spread this on Chickpea Veggie Burgers or Healthy Homemade Falafel. You could also do what we do on Mondays, drizzle it over a giant bowl of greens + veggies, maybe toss in some Air Fryer Garlic Chickpeas!
Chili Lime Tahini Dressing
This Chili Lime Tahini Dressing is Vegan + Gluten Free + Nut-Free! Drizzle this awesomeness in your wrap, on your salad, or even dunk your veggies in it!
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup tahini (make sure your tahini has only one ingredient on the label: sesame seeds!)
- 1/4-1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
Directions
- Step 1 Place all ingredients in a blender, and blend until well combined.
- Step 2 Add additional water 1 tbsp at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Step 3 Taste and adjust salt + chili powder.
- Step 4 Store in glass jar until ready to eat your salad or up to 7 days.
