Tara’s Tips for Perfect Air Fryer Broccoli EVERY TIME:

  1. use fresh broccoli, not frozen if you have it available!
  2. high heat oil works best … I Avocado Oil for this one.
  3. bring on the heat! if you like it hot sprinkle on the red pepper flakes before and after cooking.
  4. adjust your timing, every air fryer and every batch of broccoli is different, increase cook time if needed but not the heat or they will burn!
  5. put a little work in at the beginning and cut each floret into similar bite size pieces so that each lovely little floret cooks evenly.

This Air Fryer Broccoli is super simple, vegan, gluten free, ready in minutes with just a little oil and done in 10 minutes! Like spice, add more to taste!

Ingredients
  • 1 head Fresh Broccoli (about 4 cups fresh florets)
  • 2 tsp avocado oil (optional, leave out if you do not use oil)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
Directions
  • Step 1 Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees.
  • Step 2 Rinse broccoli well in strainer, dry well.
  • Step 3 Cut each floret into approximately the same bite size piece.
  • Step 4 Place broccoli in a large bowl or stasher/ziploc bag, add oil or spray with oil if using, add salt, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes and stir or shake to coat each floret.
  • Step 5 Place broccoli in air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes on 375 degrees. Shake once half way through cooking. Each air fryer is different, broccoli is done when golden brown. Careful not to overcook!
  • Step 6 Remove from air fryer and sprinkle with additional red pepper flakes to taste, and serve or eat! Enjoy!
