This Easy Air Fryer Edamame Recipe is super simple + can be the perfect healthy snack in a pinch! Keep a bag of frozen soybeans in your freezer + this will quickly become your go-to! These are on regular rotation in the MVF kitchen!

Tara’s Tips for Perfect + Easy Air Fryer Edamame Recipe:

 

 

 

  • If you are new to air frying start here: Most Common Air Fryer Mistakes
  • Toss your frozen edamame in their shells in a glass bowl with a lid or a ziplock bag, apply oil spray + seasonings, and give everything a good shake until well coated.
  • I use red pepper flakes + garlic + coarse sea salt.  To me, this is the winning combination for this Easy Air Fryer Edamame recipe.  If you don’t like spice, don’t use the red pepper! If you like lots of spice, add more!
  • I am not a huge fan of cooking with oil.  However, these little pods of awesome need a light spray or drizzle to make them just perfect!

Easy Air Fryer Edamame Recipe

Looking for a healthy snack, high in protein + ready in minutes? You have come to the right place for this Easy Air Fryer Edamame Recipe!

Ingredients
  • 16 oz frozen edamame
  • avocado oil or spray (optional but awesome, omit if oil-free)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp red pepper flakes (more to taste)
  • 1 tbsp coarse kosher salt (or coarse sea salt)
Directions
  • Step 1 Preheat air fryer to 390 degrees F.
  • Step 2 Pour edamame (in their shells) into a large ziplock bag or glass bowl with a lid.
  • Step 3 Lightly spray the edamame or drizzle with avocado oil first, then add seasonings. Give everything a good shake to coat.
  • Step 4 Transfer to air fryer basket. Air fry at 390 degrees for 5 minutes. Shake the basket, air fry for an additional 5-7 minutes or until the edges of the pods are slightly golden brown.
  • Step 5 Add additional salt + pepper to taste. Allow to cool to the touch + eat! Enjoy!
