And what if you aren’t a meal prepper? You are in luck because from start to finish this quinoa is ready in under 20 minutes!
Tara’s Tips for Perfect Basic Instant Pot Quinoa:
- Rinse you quinoa before cooking it!! If not, it has a bitter, soap-like taste.
- Substitute vegetable broth instead of water if you are making a savory dish using quinoa.
- Use non-dairy milk in place of the water if you are making a recipe that is sweet or for breakfast.
- If you double the recipe DON’T double the cooking time.
- This recipe is ideal for meal prep or to make a big batch on weekends for weeknight dinner.

How To Make Quinoa In Your Instant Pot
Ready in minutes + perfectly fluffy every time!
Ingredients
- 2 cups quinoa
- 2 cups water
Directions
- Step 1 Rinse Quinoa in a fine mesh strainer *** Don’t skip the rinsing!.
- Step 2 Place quinoa and water in Instant Pot, press manual, adjust time to 1 minute, close lid, turn valve to ‘seal’.
- Step 3 When the timer beeps, do not release the pressure. Allow the pressure to release on its own. After 15 minutes, release the pressure if it hasn’t done it already on its own.
- Step 4 Fluff with fork and enjoy! Can also place into individual portions to customize for meal prep or include in your favorite recipe.
