Tara’s Tips on How to Perfectly Air Fry Frozen Broccoli:
- Do not defrost your broccoli before air frying! No need to waste time thawing out your broccoli.
- Change up the seasoning to taste. Any combination of salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic powder or granules, onion powder or granules.
- If you don’t use oil then make these without the oil spray. I prefer a short spray of avocado oil which gives the florets a little extra crisp on the ends but these turn out fabulously either way.
- There are so many different air fryers now! I have a Ninja Air Fryer with a basket, but I know many of you have the kind with a tray. Watch your florets at the end of the cook time as all air fryers differ. These can go from a little brown to way too brown pretty quickly! Keep an eye on them + make sure you shake them up a few times while cooking.
- Typically, I tell you to preheat your air fryer but not with this recipe! Simply toss the frozen broccoli right in!
- Don’t overcrowd the florets. Starting from frozen these guys can get stuck to one another causing you to have some areas less cooked than others. Cook in batches if you need to but don’t overcrowd! I can easily fit one bag of frozen broccoli in my air fryer + you should have no problem unless you are doubling the recipe.
