Easy & Ready in Under 30 minutes
Simply cut up 4 slices of bread, saute onion and celery in vegan butter, combine herbs with and egg or GF vegan egg replacement. Don’t know where to find vegan egg replacement? Here you go:Bobs Red Mill GF Egg Replacer . Roll everything into 12 cute little balls and bake! All set!
Make vegan egg replacement according to package directions and set aside or scramble a non-vegan egg
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
Cut bread into one inch cubes and place in a large bowl.
Heat vegan butter in a pan over medium-high heat, add onions, celery, sprinkle with salt and saute for 5 minutes until onions are translucent being careful not to burn onions. Add water as needed to prevent burning and sticking to pan. Turn off heat.
Add pepper, sage, and thyme to the pan and stir until fully combined. Transfer to bowl.
Add the vegan egg and broth to onion/celery bowl and stir again until fully combined. If egg is too thick add water 1 tbsp at a time.
Add the onion/egg mixture to the bread and stir until bread is coated.
Roll into 12 balls and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet
Bake in a 375 degree oven for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to sit for 5 minutes prior to eating or serving. Serve with gravy over top or dunk in. Enjoy!
